I’ve heard so much about Valencia, ever since my sister went to visit years ago.
We booked our flights months and months in advance (that is how Karen likes it), but only started planning the trip just a couple of weeks before the visit (that is how I like it).
We booked a little studio apartment in the very centre of the old city, using AirBnB as usual because the majority of the time it is our choice to have our own little home away from home 🙂
It is safe to say that Valencia is a green city; wherever you go, you see all sorts of gardens, flowers, trees, palm trees and the list can go on and on. I think the biggest highlight of this trip was the Botanical Garden that I will not forget, insane variety of trees and plants from all over the world, it made us feel so relaxed and at ease, it was absolutely amazing. I wish we spent more time in there.
Another highlight was of course our short (but overwhelming) trip to the Old Food Market which you simply cannot skip. Fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, olive oil, wine, bakery and sweets, lots of things to see and try.
I would absolutely love to come back to Valencia and explore more, and I’m sure we will in the future.
